Just as the fat is separated from the offering of well-being, so David was set apart from the Israelites.
And as the fat taken away from the flesh, so was David chosen from among the children of Israel.
As the choice fat portion of the fellowship offering is reserved for the Lord, so David was chosen from among the Israelites.
Like the choice fat of sacred offerings, so was David in Israel.
Just as the fat of the sacred offerings is set apart, so David was chosen out of all Israel.
As the fat is set apart from the offering of well-being, so David was set apart from the Israelites.
